Congress May Eliminate Muni Bond Tax Exemption—Act NowThe tax-exempt status of municipal bonds is currently under discussion in Congress as part of potential tax code changes in 2025. Repealing this exemption could significantly increase borrowing costs for states and local governments, potentially reducing investment in essential infrastructure projects.
